The Psychology Center has been conveniently located in the Corporate Center at 7441 O Street, Suite 402, for over 20 years.  Our group of experienced clinical psychologists and licensed mental health practitioners value collaboration with each other and our broad referral system.  Our referral base includes hospitals, physicians, nurses, employee assistance programs, mental health facilities, schools, employers and other mental health practitioners.  Many new patient referrals are from current and prior clients who experienced positive results in working with our staff.

All Psychology Center practitioners are highly experienced clinicians.  They serve a broad range of clients from preteens to elders.  Patients come to the Psychology Center for help dealing with both severe mental health disorders (e.g. schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder) as well as a variety of less severe anxiety and depressive disorders.  Other services include:  adaptation to medical illness; preparation for medical surgery/anesthesia; life transitions; parenting issues; marital conflict; grief and death/dying substance abuse; trauma; eating disorders; behavioral problems; personality disorders; and dysfunctional family issues.  The clinical psychologists provide psychological assessments when appropriate or requested.

Though we identify on our signage and website as The Psychology Center, each clinician is a solo practitioner. Each practitioner runs their own individual business including their opening paperwork, billing practices, billing rates, and scheduling of appointments.

Our clinicians are dedicated to assisting individuals, partners and families lead happy and productive lives.  We are committed to providing clients with the highest quality, effective, and personalized care.  To this end, we continually upgrade our skills, confer with other community mental health professionals, and mutually utilize our own resources and expertise.  We meet bimonthly to share clinical and educational experiences and to strategize on clinical care when necessary.  Through this collaboration we optimize our opportunities to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

We strive to provide a relaxed, welcoming, and warm atmosphere from the waiting room to the individual therapy offices.  Confidentiality is strictly observed.  Our therapists are providers for numerous insurance panels including Medicare and Medicaid (see individual therapist listings).
